The Trans-Tasman IP Attorneys Board received from its consultant, SPP, the 2025 Report on the Competencies Review (the SPP Report). The SPP Report includes several recommendations to improve how Australian and New Zealand patent attorneys' and Australian trade marks attorneys' (IP attorneys) competencies are defined, acquired and maintained.
The Board has published an Update to the Profession on the TTIPAB Competencies Review which sets out, amongst other things, the SPP recommendations and the Board's view on them.
