Independent Report into the Arrangement for Trans-Tasman Attorneys

Report on the Review of the Arrangement Between the Governments of Australia and New Zealand Relating to the Trans-Tasman Regulation of Patent Attorneys

The Australian and New Zealand Governments have concluded the review of the Arrangement between the Governments of Australia and New Zealand relating to the Trans-Tasman Regulation of Patent Attorneys. The joint report is available here.

The review was conducted by IP Australia (IPA) and the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

The review concluded that the regime is working well and there are no substantive issues with its performance. Some minor issues were identified around the administration of the regime.  The report makes twelve recommendations for improvements and potential reform to the regime.
